Chaparral Advisors was founded by Rob Russell and Nathan Wallace — two practitioners who have served on nonprofit boards, managed endowments, led fundraising efforts, and lived the strategic challenges their clients face.

We built this practice to offer something most nonprofits can't access: affordable, structured, deliverable-focused consulting from people who know what it actually takes to build a stronger organization. We are national and remote-first, with roots in Ojai, California.

He has served on nonprofit boards and committees with a focus on fundraising, governance, and finance and operations oversight. At Chaparral, Rob leads business development, client relationships, marketing, and strategic planning delivery.

Nathan brings over 16 years of experience in financial services and investment management, including direct experience managing assets for nonprofits and endowments as a Principal Wealth Advisor at Savvy Wealth. He is the founder of Greyfox Investors LLC and has served on nonprofit boards including CampusPoint. Nathan leads financial health assessments, revenue analysis, grant strategy, and operational efficiency.
